Perttu Pölönen is a futurist, inventor and author. He has studied future technologies at Singularity University, based at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, co-founded an edtech company in Myanmar, written three books and won EU’s biggest science competition for youth. In 2018 MIT Tech Review honored him among the 35 Innovators Under 35 in Europe.

INVENTOR

Perttu  is an innovator at heart. At 15 he turned his frustration, music theory, into a simple teaching tool called MusiClock (Fin. Sävelkello). The invention was recognized internationally, followed by an invitation to the Nobel Prize 

Festivities. Awards:

AUTHOR

Perttu's book Future Skills brings together the skills that will help you succeed in an unprecedented and uncertain future, such as perseverance, character, 

compassion and courage. Perttu 

takes a practical, personal look at our ever-changing technological landscape while investigating our ability to respond, adapt, and evolve as a society. Future Skills has been translated to seven languages. 

SPEAKER

Perttu is an inspiring and thought-provoking speaker. He has received excellent feedback on his ability to bring fresh ideas to disruption, evolution of work and education. As a member of the generation Z he has unique perspectives to the changes ahead. Perttu has given over 850 keynotes in 15 different countries, to clients including Dell, IBM, Nokia, Accenture, KPMG, Finnish Government and others. 

FUTURIST

Perttu received a full scholarship to study at Singularity University, a think tank located at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, CA. He has  a profound knowledge of the future mega trends, disruption, emerging technologies and exponential mindset. At SU he also co-founded 360ed, a non-profit that takes teachers in Myanmar to exemplary classrooms around the world through VR.

COMPOSER

Perttu is a classically trained composer, graduated from Sibelius Academy. His compositions have been performed in Finland, Hungary, Japan and the USA. Perttu's passion in music lies in simplicity and clarity. He turns his diverse background into interdisciplinary artwork. Perttu plays the cello and the piano – also in seminars and events!
